Farming simulator 17 gps controls4/30/2024 you use the GPS mod to figure out what your offset will be and you make the passĪt the start of the next pass if you turn the plow to the driver side of your tractor, you would use the auto reverse function of the GPS to flip the offset setting. When unfolded and ready to use, you have the back of the plow turned to the passenger side of the tractor. so for instance we will use the smallest plow (salford 4204) The offset ( if its the same as 15/13) is for when using either a plow or a tool that does not sit directly in the middle of your tractor ( example: pottinger MEX-5 mountable chaff tool) the only time i have found to use the auto reverse is if you are turning the plow after the pass you just made. The only way i found to make it work is manually set it each time on the way down then reset it on way back. Then had it on auto reverse so it is -0.5m on way back and this just gave me the same problem of missing a fill cut Going down a field i set it to +0.5m and it gave me a full cut Originally posted by Cellfire:i am a little confused by offset feature. However as stated anything that needs a sharp turn back will skip. I'm to the point that I dont think I'd want to play without this mod, its very very useful to me.Īuto turn can be used with anything not just harvesters. Watching a youtube video the other day of a RL combine using GPS, the operator stated that he had to do the turns manualy because the GPS couldnt do it. Only way ive found to deal with this is to let it skip.then go back to the start and move to the next lane over. ![]() Wide sprayers and other implements do turn pretty well with it as a tight turn is not needed for them. The AB point method requires you to setup two points (A and B) in order to calculate the steering angle. Guidance Steering allows you to use different methods in order to create tracks. Partly because vehicles dont turn wide then back like helpers do. Complete field applications quickly and efficiently with the Guidance Steering mod that helps you accurately setup tracks to work your fields. Skipping lanes: It seems that many of the vehicles dont have as tight a turn radius when using auto turn. So for a 30 lane field I will do lane 1 then move to lane 15 (middle) then around to lane 2.then 16 ect.īeeps.I suspect you have to edit 1 of the scripts. I do a wierd inside out pattern, (cause I hate reversing all the time) this helps me identify the middle most lane of the field. Examples of use: When working with a friend it can help identify the odd # lanes for you and the even # lanes for him/her. ![]() The lane counter will show you how many lanes exist for the current width of your implement.
